I am a sodden artist, suspicious writer and sometimes researcher born in Wakefield based in the north of the UK. I often work with experimental moving-image as part of an expanded practice that encompasses installation, sculpture, exhibition making, relationships, writing and programming. My pronouns are they\/them. I am particularly interested in autobiography, embodiment, intimacy and speech. I am concerned with accessibility, resisting dominant professionalised forms of media and moving image production, and instead embraces DIY and home video techniques, as well as queer crip analysis. My work is like an armpit, personal and intimate, of the body and relationships – smelling earthy.

From 2019 to 2021 I worked with LUX Scotland as the Artist Development Coordinator for the commissioning project Now & Next <\/a>supported by BBC Scotland and Creative Scotland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 2014 – 15 I was Programme Assistant at The Tetley <\/a>working on exhibitions with, among others, Samara Scott; Simeon Barclay; Rachel Adams; Alex Farrar; Laura Morrison; Jessica Tsang; Nina Wakeford; and Ben Cain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same period I worked to support both the studios and the exhibitions programme at Set The Controls for the Heart of The Sun<\/a> where we worked with, among others, Toby Christian; Simeon Barclay; Harry Meadley; Philip Coyne; Emilia Bergmark; and Lindsey Mendick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
