Shown at Grand Union in November 2016. Installation including digital video, digitally printed fabric curtain, pride flag bean bags, powder coated steel trough, free contraceptives provided by local sexual health charity with information and leaflets, digital print, wall painting, and a programme of activity in the gallery. The programme of activity included an in-conversation between myself and Kim McAleese, a residency for queer collective Queerzone3000, a film screening (of works by Jamie Crewe, Moyra Davey, Christopher Kirubi, Paul Maheke, Alex Padfield, Marlon T. Riggs and Rehana Zaman), a screening of Derek Jarman and Ron Pecks ‘Will you Dance With me?’, a panel discussion with ethnomusicologist Dr Luis-Manuel Garcia, Fierce Festival director Aaron Wright, Queerzone300, and Kim McAleese, as well as a celebratory party.
