I took part in Group Occupation III, an ESP group residency supported by Eastside Projects at The New Art Gallery Walsall in July and August 2015. The other participants were Andrew Gillespie, and Dr Grace Williams. Whilst I was there I thought about how people use and hack various public spaces, selfies and sexting, karaoke and forms of a being a fan, or put another way forms of artistic production that are parasitical and parasocial.
