the apple dolls in my studio

Untitled apple dolls made as part of the residency at Triangle France – Astérides, Marseille, France.

These handmade apple dolls explore the strange and fragile boundaries of embodiment. Made with an intentionally amateur, unpolished approach, they celebrate the weirdness and impermanence of bodies—both literal and imagined.

The dolls evoke the sense of something in-between: an attempt to make a body that may not last, a form that is both familiar and unsettling. Through these fragile, intimate objects, the work invites reflection on care, vulnerability, and the desire to inhabit space in unexpected ways.
